General Description

All telescopic cylinders are efficient, powerful, and reliable. They are composed of multiple stages (from 2 to 10 stages). Cylinders are designed to operate at a working pressure of 180 bar. Maintenance of the tipper cylinder is simple – just with seals.

Usage

Telescopic tipper cylinders are used in various economic sectors, such as agriculture, construction, and engineering. They are intended for single, double, or three-sided tipping of tractor trailers, tippers, and other cargo superstructures.

Production

The company di Natale-BERTELLI has been manufacturing cylinders since 1970. It is the only Italian factory and one of the few in the world that uses the 'tenifer' process to protect the rods of telescopic cylinders. Long-term experience and research have enabled the improvement of quality and expansion of production.

Cylinder Protection

The rods of the cylinders are protected with tenifer, a compound that is chemically resistant, thus increasing resistance to oxidation and corrosion. Intermetallic compounds produce an excellent anti-friction layer that allows the sliding of steel stages against steel. The thickness of the layer compound is 0.25: 0.3 mm, with a minimum hardness of 570 HV, compared to 180 HV of standard steel, it is particularly resistant to dirt, dust, stone… Wear resistance. Tipper cylinders are not painted or otherwise protected.

Safety Measures for Installation

When painting, always protect the upper part so that the paint does not damage the seals. Install a safety valve on the hydraulic system, set to 200 bars. During the cleaning of the interiors of tanks and appropriate filters, air must not leak into the system. When the box is lowered, the rods must not be under load (the adjustable clearance must be at least 20 mm). The cylinder must not be directly rinsed with a high-pressure jet. Use mineral hydraulic oils and lubricants with a viscosity of 2 to 6 at 50 °C

Recommended density:

- ISO 22 at a temperature of -18 °C to + 5 °C

- ISO 32 at a temperature of 0 °C to + 25 °C

- ISO 68 at a temperature of -10 °C to + 38 °C

Important Safety Instructions

Never exceed the maximum working pressure. Always ensure the load is within the maximum cargo. Always ensure that the load is evenly distributed. Install on a solid and flat surface. When tipping, the vehicle must be stationary. Ensure a safe working area. Never interfere with the safety valve. Failure to comply with safety instructions voids the warranty on the cylinder.
